The Company’s Commitment
To Training

Charles Leek & Sons Ltd have an experienced and skilled workforce comprising of Machinists, Apprentices and Support staff.

Our commitment to training our staff is demonstrated by everyone having their own training programme which identifies with the company’s objectives.

All trainees will be expected to achieve at least NVQ Level 3 after a thorough ' modern apprenticeship' training.

We are members of the North Staffs Engineering Group Training Association (NSEGTA) who ensure that all our training programmes meet national standards.

We encourage all our staff to become involved with the company’s development through regular team meetings and performing quality / health & safety audits.

The company has had a long standing relationship with Leek College of Further Education for many years, sending our apprentices for ‘ off the job’ training in engineering.

Mr Adrian Leek (Managing Director) was a governor of the college for many years has now retired from this position but still has a keen interest in the performance of apprentices. Recently several employees were given the opportunity to improve their computer and I. T. skills by taking the CLAIT course.
All staff have undertaken ‘Business Improvement Techniques’ training and have there own projects to implement thereby satisfying the company's demand for continual improvement.
